Ruby Anniversary

Two of Milsons Passage's most revered residents John and Doreen Carrick, have recently celebrated their Ruby Wedding Anniversary. John is the captain of our Bush Fire Brigade, owner of the charming and unique Top Hat, a driving force in the kayak club and a great inventor, bush mechanic and a practical joker supreme.  Doreen, president of the Bush Fire Brigade, cooker of wonderful pumpkin soup and proud grandmother of seven, takes a calmer, quieter approach to things. No one is quite sure how she has put up with John for all these years, but we're sure that somewhere beneath his cheeky, adventurous exterior, a romantic pulse must beat .... mustn't it??
